Kingdom Campaign
For the past several years, Mustard Seed Network has been seeking to plant 12 churches in 12 major Japanese cities. These 12 churches put the majority of Japan’s population within reach of a gospel-centered church. They also serve as ministry hubs to make disciples, train leaders, plant new churches, and revitalize existing churches across Japan.
NEW GOALS
By the end of 2035:
• Plant 6 more churches
• Empower each of our 12 hub churches to plant or revitalize at least one other church in their region
• Bless at least 300 churches in Japan through training, ministry resources, or events
Join us in our Goal
$1,900,000 to help 12 more churches and establish a Ministry Training School in Japan
$1,200,000 for 12 New Churches
We would like to have the capital available to help 12 church plants or church revitalizations. Compared to the past, we are raising less money from outside of Japan for these 12 projects because a greater proportion of the funding will come from churches in Japan.
$700,000 for a Theology and Ministry School
This includes the start-up costs, operations, and faculty salaries for the first several years of the ministry training school. The start up costs of $700,000 will cover technology and learning resources.
The Need for Revitalization
Many churches are dying and pastor-less in Japan. To be able to properly minister in this context, we must dedicate ourselves to revitalizing dying churches and raising up more leaders in Japan to serve existing and new churches in Japan. This will partly be accomplished through the establishment of the Tokyo Kerusso School of Theology. On top of that, our network of churches must make intentional plans to revitalize churches in our regions while also helping new church plants.
Of course, all churches must continue to grow through preaching the gospel to the 99% of Japan that does not yet believe. Evangelism has and always will be crucial to the mission of the church in Japan.
